50/50 is more than just a title for this film it is the expression for the intricacies of life and it’s balance. The ying and yang, the right the wrong, how everything counter acts each other. The movie does a great job of melding the light hearted moments with the heavy weighted feeling of realizing that our time on this earth may be limited. It is the social simplistic idea that the world still will move in light of our micro approach to dire situations but no matter the situation we must not take for granted the connections we have. If you ever have a fear of something don’t let it hold you back, take your chances and make your life worth while. The outcome may not always be perfect but that’s life, you cant always dwell on what will or won’t work out, just take the chance to find out. Mortality becomes a lot more tangible and somewhat easier to deal with.
